Well, it’s been six months since Alex joined our lives. It’s truly amazing how fast the time has gone by. He’s grown from a squirrelly little baby to a funny little kid with a whole lot of personality. It’s impossible to capture him in a list, but here are some awesome things about Alex at six months old:
- He loves to play peek-a-boo with his blanket. He’ll put it over his face, we say “Where’d Alex go?” and then he yanks the blanket away and starts laughing.
- He eats big boy food now, including pears and sweet potatoes, which make his poops orange – like, really, really orange. He also prefers water out of a regular cup over a sippy cup.
- When we read his bedtime stories, he helps turn the pages and always looks up when he knows Daddy’s about to use a silly character voice.
- He’s about this (pinching fingers really closely) close to getting up and running at any point. Seriously, he doesn’t want to do anything but walk around the house.
- He falls asleep with the corner of his blanket crammed down his throat. When we go to bed, we go in an move it and it’s like a magician pulling a handkerchief out of his magic hat.
And no retrospective would be complete without a pictorial timeline…so here it is, Alex over the past six months:
